Pest Problems When You Rent From a Housing Association
If you rent your Stonebridge home from a social landlord, the first call about a pest problem should usually be to them. Tenancy agreements differ, and many landlords deal with some pests themselves, particularly where the cause is a repair or a shared area.
Report it first
Tell your landlord in writing, describe what you have seen and where, and keep a note of the date. If the problem is in a communal area — a shared bin store, corridor or loft space — it is almost certainly for the landlord to deal with, because treating one home while the shared space is affected will not solve it.
When residents choose private treatment

- Cockroaches travelling between neighbouring flats along service runs
- Wasps nesting in soffit vents and roof boxes of newer houses
- Rats around communal bins if lids are left open
