Carpet moth treatment is priced by the room and booked on what has damage, not on the size of the property. Before you book it is worth knowing exactly what the visit changes and what it leaves untouched, because a pest treatment and a carpet restoration are two different things.
List the rooms with thin patches, webbing or larvae, mention any rug you are worried about, then book carpet moth treatment or call 0800 955 2347.
The booking covers treatment of the rooms you identify as affected, anywhere in Greater London. It deals with the insects in those rooms. It is not a cleaning contract, not a rug service and not a survey you pay for separately. If you are not yet sure the damage is moths at all, the London carpet moth advice guide and the signs guide are the places to start; why holes appear in a carpet helps separate moth damage from wear, damp and furniture feet.

Damage already done is permanent, which is the main reason early booking is worth it. The upside is that a fitted carpet eaten only at its edges can often stay exactly where it is once the moths are dealt with, so it is usually better to treat first and decide about replacing afterwards, rather than pulling up a floor before anybody has seen how far the larvae reached.

Say so when you book if a room holds an antique rug, a silk or hand-knotted piece, a tapestry or anything with sentimental or resale value. It changes the conversation: some textiles are better handled by a specialist rug cleaner or a textile conservator, and some are better moved out of a room before it is treated. We do not value, appraise, clean or repair textiles, and we will tell you where a piece needs somebody else. Moth damage in clothes and furniture covers upholstery and stored woollens.
Each room with damage or live larvae counts once, at £180 for the first and £60 for every further room. Wardrobes, fitted cupboards and drawers are part of the room they stand in rather than separate rooms. Halls, landings and stairs are not counted, even where a runner is affected — tell us about it and it is handled with the nearest room. Lofts and eaves storage are a common source in London houses and are worth raising on the phone so the count is right before you commit to anything.

Larvae want wool, darkness and stillness, and a good deal of London housing supplies all three. Period conversions keep original floors and rugs; purpose-built blocks stay warm through the winter, so breeding does not pause; suburban houses accumulate blankets and coats in lofts and eaves cupboards; and any home with a room that is only used at Christmas has a quiet corner nobody vacuums. Second-hand rugs and inherited furniture bring larvae in ready-made.
Rented flats add one wrinkle. Where a fitted carpet belongs to the landlord, tell the landlord or agent what you have found in writing, because decisions about replacing flooring are theirs, not the tenant's. The treatment itself can be booked by either of you.
We will explain what to move and what to vacuum before the visit; the preparation guide gives the shape of it. Afterwards, the odd adult moth can still appear for a time, and how long depends on how established things were — the timescale guide explains what that depends on. Get back in touch if fresh damage or new larvae turn up after the period we give you.
Every borough is covered at the same room rates. Brent is the borough written up in full, so Carpet Moth Control Brent and Pest Control Brent show what a borough looks like in detail. If the larvae in your carpet are bristly and brown rather than smooth and pale, you may want carpet beetle control instead, and bites in a carpeted room with a pet in the house point to flea treatment.
Rooms are the unit: £180 buys the first room and £60 each additional room, so a living room and a bedroom together come to £240, and three rooms come to £300. A room counts once whether the damage is a patch of carpet, a rug, or woollens inside a wardrobe in that same room, and halls, landings and stairs stay out of the count. The price covers treating the rooms you list, with instructions beforehand and advice afterwards — not cleaning, repairing or replacing any floorcovering.

No. The treatment deals with the insects; the bare patches stay bare. Whether a carpet is worth keeping is a separate decision, and one that is easier to make once the moths are no longer active.
They do not. Adults do not feed on fabric — the larvae eat the wool, out of sight under furniture and along edges. Seeing adults simply tells you larvae have been feeding somewhere nearby.
By room, not by carpet. Two rooms joined by one continuous carpet are two rooms if both have damage, and one room if only one does. Mention the layout when you ring and we will work it out with you.
Tell us about it before the visit and we will talk it through. Some pieces are better moved out and taken to a specialist rug cleaner, since a pest treatment is not a cleaning or conservation process.
They are a monitoring tool. They catch males, which tells you whether moths are still active, but they will not clear an established population on their own.
Often the same insect under two names, and the pricing does not change either way. This guide explains the species, and the room count is what decides your total.
Most household policies exclude damage by moths and other insects, so read your own policy wording before assuming it is covered. The treatment cost is the published room price either way.

Brent's borough, area and local service pages are live. The other boroughs are covered on the same published prices — call or send the form and we will arrange it.
List the rooms with damage, say what the flooring is and flag any valuable rug or textile, and we will confirm the room count and the price before you commit.
