Looking for Them in an Old Bedroom
A Victorian bedroom offers more edges than a modern one: deep skirtings, a picture rail, a cupboard in the alcove beside the chimney breast, carpet tacked over gappy floorboards. Start at the bed all the same. Strip it in daylight and work along the mattress piping, the joints and bolt holes of the frame and the back of the headboard, then the carpet edge nearest the bed and the cupboard behind it. Bagging and Clearing Before Treatment

What to Put in Writing to the Freeholder or Agent
